The ZD2020-BE iso-buck boost converter transformer, purpose-built for the STEVAL-6986YT2DL reference design, is optimized for systems using the A6986I from STMicroelectronics. This robust component handles input voltages from 5 V to 24 V, delivering dual isolated outputs tailored specifically for SiC MOSFET gate drivers, with typical output voltages of 20 V and -5 V. Rated for 1500 Vrms isolation, the transformer includes standard functional insulation, with optional basic or reinforced insulation available to meet specific application needs. Its AEC-Q200 qualification underscores its reliability and suitability for demanding automotive and industrial environments. For GaN gate drivers, the ZE2774-BE is the preferred choice.

  3. DC current that causes the primary inductance to drop 30% from its value without current.
  4. Leakage inductance is for the primary with the secondary windings shorted.
  5. 1500 Vrms, one minute isolation (hipot) between primary and secondary windings.

  • RoHS-compliant, halogen free. 260°C compatible. Tin-silver-copper over tin over nickel over phos bronze terminations.
