Flyback Transformers for Texas Instruments LM5185-Q1

Coilcraft ZD2250/ZE2432-AE flyback transformers are designed to work with the LM5185-Q1 100 Vin PSR flyback automotive DC-DC controller from Texas Instruments. These transformers have no auxiliary winding, reducing solution size and cost while achieving greater than 90% efficiency, making them suitablefor use in isolated bias power supplies for IGBT, SiC, and GaN gate drivers.
 
The ZD2250/ZE2432-AE are AEC qualified, making them ideal for automotive traction inverters, onboard chargers (OBC), EV charging stations, battery management systems (BMS), automotive DC-DC converters and wide range of other automotive and industrial applications.

  • Designed to operate with 18 – 60 V (ZD2250) and 9 – 60 V (ZE2432) input at 200 kHz

  2. DC current that causes an inductance drop of 30% (typ) from its value without current.
  3. DCR values specified with windings connected in parallel.
  4. Leakage inductance is for the primary winding (connected in parallel) with the secondary windings shorted.
  5. 2000 Vrms, isolation (hipot) measured between primary windings (connected in parallel) to secondary windings (connected in parallel).

Termination:

  • RoHS-compliant. 260°C compatible. RoHStin-silver over tin over nickel over phos bronze. Other terminations available at additional cost.
