Isolation Transformer

Coilcraft's ZA9801 low-profile transformer is designed for use with SN650x transformer drivers from Texas Instruments and LT3999 from Analog Devices. The center-tapped push-pull transformer features increased creepage and clearance, higher isolation voltage and higher efficiency than previous generation products. It provides 5000 Vrms across the isolation barrier for interfaces such as CAN, RS-485, RS-422, RS-232, SPI, I2C , and low-power LAN in industrial and automotive applications. The ZA9801 is AEC Grade 1 qualified, making it an ideal solution for DC-DC converters in EV/HEV applications.

Notes
  1. Calculated output power based on 150 kHz operating frequency. Power varies depending on application.
  2. Inductance is tested  between pins 4 and 3 at 150 kHz, 0.1 Vrms, 0 Adc.
  3. DCR is per winding at 25°C. For other operating temperatures, use this use this DCR at Temperature calculator.
  4. Leakage inductance is for the primary with both windings connected in series and with the secondary windings shorted.
  5. Volt-time product is for the primary, between pins 4 and 1 with pins 2 and 3 connected.
  6. 5000 Vrms, one minute isolation (hipot) from primary to secondary.

  • E = RoHS tin-silver over tin over nickel over phos bronze.

Packaging:

  • D = 13″ machine ready reel. EIA-481 embossed plastic tape (700 per full reel). Quantities less than full reel available: in tape (not machine ready) or with leader and trailer ($25 charge).
