Z-Axis RFID Transponder Coils

Our ZXC Series of compact z-axis coil provides a 3rd dimension ID with other X-Y RFID coils.  Values range from 2.48 mH to 14.8 mH.  Inductance is specified at 125 kHz and all come in a ±5% tolerance.

Notes
  1. When ordering, please specify termination and packaging codes: e.g. ZXC-156XJLD
  2. Inductance and Q measured using Agilent/HP 4192A impedance analyzer at 125 kHz. For recommended procedures, contact Coilcraft.
  3. Read distance measured using the KEELOQ® Transponder Evaluation Kit part number DM303005 from Microchip. Distance was recorded as the voltage across the resonant circuit dropped below 10mV. 
  4. Sensitivity measured in accordance with Coilcraft application note Measuring Sensitivity of Transponder Coils.
  5. Matching capacitor value required for parallel resonant circuit operating at 125 kHz.
  6. DCR measured at 25°C on a micro-ohmmeter. For other operating temperatures, use this DCR at Temperature calculator.
  7. SRF measured using Agilent/HP 8753D network analyzer. Details

Termination:

  • L = RoHS compliant matte tin over nickel over phos bronze
  • Special order, added cost: T = RoHS tin-silver-copper (95.5/4/0.5) or 
  • S = non-RoHS tin-lead (63/37).

Packaging:

  • C = 7" machine-ready reel
    EIA-481 embossed plastic tape (500 parts per full reel).
  • B = Less than full reel
    In tape but not machine-ready. To have a leader and trailer added ($25 charge), use code letter D instead.
  • D = 13" machine-ready reel
    EIA-481 embossed plastic tape. Factory order only, not stocked (2000 parts per full reel).
