MLC1770 Series

Shielded Power Inductors

RoHS compliant halogen free
Coilcraft MLC1770 Series power inductors are mechanically rugged and magnetically shielded for use in high-density circuits. Their flat-wire construction provides excellent current handling and exceptionally low DCR, and soft saturation makes them perfect for VRM/VRD applications.
  • Exceptionally low DC resistance
  • Soft saturation for high peak current handling
  • Magnetic shielding for high-density packaging
  • Ideal for low-voltage, high-current DC-DC converters and VRD/VRM controllers
  • AEC-Q200 Grade 3 (−40°C to +85°C)

Notes
  1. When ordering, please specify termination and packaging code: e.g. MLC1770-282MEC
  2. Inductance measured at 100 kHz, 0.1 Vrms, 0 Adc using a Coilcraft SMD‑A fixture in an Agilent/HP 4263B LCR meter.
  3. DCR measured at 25°C on a micro-ohmmeter. For other operating temperatures, use this DCR at Temperature calculator.
  4. SRF measured using an Agilent/HP4291A impedance analyzer and an Agilent/HP 16193 fixture.
  5. Isat: DC current at which the inductance drops the specified amount from its value without current. Details
  6. Irms: Current that causes the specified temperature rise from 25°C ambient.

Termination:

  • E = Halogen free component. RoHS compliant tin-silver over copper terminations.
  • T = RoHS tin-silver-copper (95.5/4/0.5). (Special order, added cost)
  • S = non-RoHS tin-lead (63/37). (Special order, added cost)

Packaging:

  • D = 13" machine-ready reel
EIA-481 embossed plastic tape (400 parts per full reel). Quantities less than full reel available: in tape (not machine ready) or with leader and trailer ($25 charge).
  • B = Less than full reel. In an effort to simplify our part numbering system, Coilcraft is eliminating the need for multiple packaging codes. When ordering, simply change the last letter of your part number from B to D.
Environmental
Environmental:
RoHS compliant , halogen free
Ambient temperature range:
–40°C to +85°C with Irms current
Storage temperature range:
Component: –40°C to +125°C.
Tape and reel packaging: –40°C to +80°C
Maximum part temperature:
The part may be operated without damage as long its temperature (ambient + self-heating) does not exceed +125°C.
