Coilcraft's ED0006-AL toroidal power choke has flat inductance vs current characteristics.  It was developed as a Class-D low-pass filter element.
  • Developed for the Zetex ZXCD1210 analog input Class-D modulator
  • Also recommended by Zetex for their ZXCD1000 high fidelity Class- D amplifier solution
  • Acts as a low pass filter for the high frequency switching PWM signal

  1. Inductance measured at 100 kHz, 100 mVrms, 0 A using an Agilent/HP 4132 impedance analyzer or equivalent.
  2. DCR measured at 25°C on a Valhalla 4105 ATC digital ohmmeter or equivalent. For other operating temperatures, use this DCR at Temperature calculator.
  3. Isat: DC current at 25°C that causes a 10% (typ) inductance drop from its value without current.

Soldering/Washing

Resistance to soldering heat:
Three reflows at >217°C for 90 seconds (+260°C ±5°C for 20 – 40 seconds), allowing parts to cool to room temperature between.

PCB Washing:
Tested to MIL-STD-202 Method 215 plus an additional aqueous wash. More info.
