1812CANbus
Common Mode Choke

  • Inductance values from 11 µH to 100 µH
  • Filters a broad frequency range of common mode noise
  • 50% lower DCR and higher current handling than other CANbus chokes in the market
  • Designed for common mode noise suppression on CAN or CAN FD
in automotive or general industrial automation applications
  • 250 Vrms, 1 minute interwinding isolation (hipot)
  • AEC-Q200 Grade 1 (−40°C to +125°C)
  • Can be used for FlexRay automotive bus system
  • Low profile 1812 footprint: 4.95 × 3.18 × 3.0 mm
  • RoHS-compliant  260°C compatible. Silver-palladium-platinum-glass frit terminations.

1 When ordering, please specify packaging code: e.g. 1812CAN-104NRC
Packaging: C = 7" machine-ready reel
EIA-481 embossed plastic tape (600 parts per full reel). Quantities less than full reel available: in tape (not machine ready) or with leader and trailer ($25 charge).
D = 13" reel, machine-ready
EIA-481 embossed plastic tape. Factory order only, not stocked (2200 parts per full reel).
2 Inductance is per winding, measured at 100 kHz, 0.1 Vrms, 0 Adc using an Agilent/HP 4263B LCR meter and a Coilcraft CCF 1113 fixture.
3 DCR is specified per winding, measured 25°C on a Keithley 580 micro-ohmmeter and a Coilcraft CCF888 fixture. For other operating temperatures, use this DCR at Temperature calculator.
4 Max current that may be applied at +125°C
5 Ambient temperature range: −40°C to +125°C with Irms current.
6 Storage temperature range: Component: −40°C to +125°C
Tape and reel packaging: −40°C to +80°C
7 Resistance to soldering heat: Three reflows at >217°C for 90 seconds (+260°C ±5°C for 20 – 40 seconds), allowing parts to cool to room temperature between.
8 Electrical specifications at 25°C.
Refer to Soldering Coilcraft Components before soldering.
PCB washing: Tested to MIL-STD-202 Method 215 plus an additional aqueous wash. More info.
