Our Commitment

Coilcraft is committed to responsible environmental stewardship and the continuous improvement of our environmental performance. As part of this commitment, Coilcraft maintains a global greenhouse gas (GHG) management program that measures, monitors, and manages emissions across our worldwide operations. Coilcraft maintains a comprehensive inventory of Scope 1, Scope 2, and significant Scope 3 greenhouse gas emissions and uses this information to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and emission reductions.
 

Our Approach

Coilcraft maintains a company-wide greenhouse gas management program covering all global facilities. The program establishes consistent methods for identifying, collecting, calculating, and tracking Scope 1, Scope 2, and significant Scope 3 greenhouse gas emissions across the organization. Coilcraft's greenhouse gas inventory is developed using methodologies aligned with the Greenhouse Gas Protocol (GHG Protocol), the internationally recognized framework for greenhouse gas accounting and reporting.

Coilcraft periodically evaluates applicable Scope 3 greenhouse gas emission categories using Greenhouse Gas Protocol guidance to determine which categories are significant to our operations. Categories are assessed based on factors such as estimated emissions impact, relevance to business activities, data availability and quality, and the potential for meaningful emissions reductions. Scope 3 categories identified as significant are incorporated into Coilcraft's greenhouse gas inventory and monitored as part of the company's greenhouse gas management program.

Greenhouse gas data is collected and maintained through Coilcraft's environmental data management system using standardized data collection methods, emission factors, and calculation methodologies. Each facility is responsible for collecting and reporting required environmental data, while corporate oversight ensures consistency, data integrity, and alignment with company objectives. 

Coilcraft uses its greenhouse gas inventory to evaluate environmental performance, identify opportunities for energy efficiency improvements, and support emissions reduction initiatives throughout its operations. Significant Scope 3 emissions are tracked and evaluated as part of the company's broader environmental management efforts.

To support continual improvement, Coilcraft conducts annual audits, management reviews, and corrective action activities related to its greenhouse gas management system. Environmental performance and reduction initiatives are regularly reviewed to measure progress toward corporate objectives and identify opportunities for further improvement.

Coilcraft also promotes employee awareness of greenhouse gas reduction opportunities and encourages participation in initiatives that improve environmental performance and resource efficiency.
 

Reduction Targets

• Reduce normalized Scope 1, Scope 2, greenhouse gas emissions by 1% year-over-year. 
• Evaluate alignment of future greenhouse gas reduction targets with the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) and pursue validation as appropriate.
