Maxi Spring
Air Core Inductors

New RoHS part numbers are shown. Lead was removed from terminations. The next to the last character is now L to indicate RoHS compliance. (View old data sheet.)

  • Inductance values from 90 nH to 538 nH
  • Exceptionally high Q even at low frequencies
  • Handle up to 3.5 Amps current
  • Tight tolerance can eliminate circuit tuning (tolerances as low as 2%)
  • Flat top case for mechanical stability and reliable pick and place operations
  • Solder coated leads ensure reliable soldering
  • RoHS-compliant  260°C compatible. Terminations: tin-silver over copper
  • Samples of all values are available in Coilcraft Designer's Kit C319

1 When ordering, please specify tolerance, termination and packaging codes: e.g. 132-20SMJLD
Tolerance: G = 2%, J = 5% (Table above shows stock tolerances in bold.)
  Termination: L = RoHS compliant tin-silver (96.5/3.5) over copper.
Special order, added cost: T = RoHS tin-silver-copper (95.5/4/0.5) over copper or
S = non-RoHS tin-lead (63/37) over copper.
  Packaging: D = 13″ machine-ready reel.
EIA-481 embossed plastic tape, 800 parts per full reel.
B = Less than full reel. In tape, but not machine-ready.
To have a leader and trailer added ($25 charge), use code letter D instead.
2 Inductance and Q tested on an Agilent/HP 4291A with a 16193 fixture using Coilcraft supplied correlation.
3 Tolerances in bold are stocked for immediate shipment.
4 SRF tested with an Agilent/HP 8753D network analyzer and a Coilcraft SMD-D test fixture. Details
5 DCR tested on the Cambridge Technology Model 510 Micro-ohmmeter.
6 Irms: Current that causes a 15°C temperature rise from 25°C ambient. Details
7 Ambient temperature range: –40°C to +125°C with Irms current.
+125°C to +140°C with derated current. Derating curve
8 Storage temperature range: Component: –40°C to +140°C
Packaging: –40°C to +80°C
9 Resistance to soldering heat: Three reflows at >217°C for 90 seconds (+260°C ±5°C for 20 – 40 seconds), allowing parts to cool to room temperature between.
10 Electrical specifications at 25°C.
11 Temperature coefficient of inductance: +5 to +70 ppm/°C.
Refer to Soldering Coilcraft Components before soldering.
