Maxi Spring™ Air Core Inductors

Our 132-xxSM Series Maxi Spring™ air core inductors have exceptionaly high Q factors and very tight inductance tolerances, making them suitable for narrowband RF amplifier matching and tuning applications. As their name implies, air core inductors do not use a magnetic core, resulting in high Q and the lowest possible losses for high-frequency applications. High-reliability versions are available for space, military, and other critical applications.
  • Inductance values from 90 nH to 538 nH
  • Exceptionally high Q even at low frequencies
  • Handle up to 3.5 Amps current
  • Tight tolerance (as low as ±2%) can eliminate circuit tuning
  • Flat top case for mechanical stability and reliable pick and place operations
  • Solder coated leads ensure reliable soldering
  • AEC-Q200 Grade 1 (−40°C to +125°C)

  1. When ordering, please specify tolerance, termination and packaging codes: e.g. 132-20SMJLD
  2. Inductance and Q tested at 50 MHz on an Agilent/HP 4291A with a 16193 fixture and correlation.
  3. Tolerances in bold are stocked for immediate shipment.
  4. SRF tested on the Agilent/HP 8753D and a Coilcraft CCF1248 test fixture.
  5. DCR tested on the Cambridge Technology Model 510 Micro Ohmmeter. For other operating temperatures, use this DCR at Temperature calculator.
  6. Current that causes a 15°C temperature rise from 25°C ambient. This information is for reference only and does not represent absolute maximum ratings.
