Flyback Transformer for
TI LM5015 DC-DC Regulator

  • Referenced by Texas Instruments on application notes AN-1724 and AN-1725
  • Designed for 13 Watt applications
  • 1500 Vrms, one minute isolation from primary and auxiliary to secondary
  • Operates in continuous conduction mode at 250 kHz with 36 – 72 V input voltage
  • 10 V, 20 mA auxiliary winding output
  • RoHS-compliant. 260°C compatible. Tin-silver (96.5/3.5) over tin over nickel over phos bronze terminations.

2 Inductance measured at 250 kHz, 0.7 Vrms, 0 Adc
3 Ipk is peak primary current drawn at minimum input voltage.
4 DCR for the secondary is with the windings connected in parallel.
5 Leakage inductance is for the primary and is measured with the secondary shorted.
6 Turns ratios are with the secondary windings connected in parallel.
7 Output is with the secondary windings connected in parallel. Auxiliary winding output:10 V, 20 mA.
8 Ambient temperature range: –40°C to +85°C
9 Storage temperature range: Component: −40°C to +85°C
Tape and reel packaging: −40°C to +80°C
10 Resistance to soldering heat: Three reflows at >217°C for 90 seconds (+260°C ±5°C for 20 – 40 seconds), allowing parts to cool to room temperature between.
