The XGL4020 Series Ultra-Low Loss Shielded Power Inductors from Coilcraft offer the lowest DC losses and extremely low AC losses for a wide range of DC-DC converters, from hundreds of kHz up to 5+ MHz. These inductors feature a wider range of inductance values and improved Irms current ratings, making them ideal for a variety of applications, including power supplies, amplifiers, and motor control.  

The XGL4020 Series is available in inductance values from 0.042 µH to 8.2 µH, with a maximum current rating of 1.5 A. The inductors are also available in a variety of lead lengths and terminations, making them easy to use in a wide range of applications.  

The XGL4020 Series is RoHS compliant and halogen-free, making them ideal for use in a variety of environmentally friendly applications.

  2. Inductance tested at 1 MHz, 0.1 Vrms, 0 Adc.
  3. DCR measured at 25°C on a micro-ohmmeter. For other operating temperature use this DCR at Temperature calculator.
  4. SRF measured using an Agilent/HP 4395A or equivalent
  5. Isat: DC current at 25°C that causes the specified inductance drop from its value without current. Temperature derating curves.
  6. Irms: Current that causes the specified temperature rise from 25°C ambient. This information is for reference only and does not represent absolute maximum ratings. Temperature derating curves.
    Irms testing was performed on 0.75 inch wide × 0.25 inch thick copper traces in still air. Temperature rise is highly dependent on many factors including pcb land pattern, trace size, and proximity to other components. Therefore temperature rise should be verified in application conditions.

Termination:

  • E = Halogen free component. RoHS compliant tin-silver over copper terminations.
  • T = RoHS tin-silver-copper (95.5/4/0.5). (Special order, added cost)
  • S = non-RoHS tin-lead (63/37). (Special order, added cost)

Packaging:

  • C = 7″ machine-ready reel. EIA-481 embossed plastic tape. Quantities less than full reel available: in tape (not machine ready) or with leader and trailer ($25 charge).
  • D = 13″ machine-ready reel. EIA-481 embossed plastic tape. Factory order only, not stocked.
