Surface Mount, High Frequency
Current Sensing Transformer

New RoHS part numbers are shown. Lead was removed from terminations. The last character is now L to indicate RoHS compliance. (View old data sheet.)

  • For use at 50 kHz - 300 kHz
  • Small surface mount package
  • 1 Volt per Ampere sensitivity (sensed current windings in parallel)
  • Output sensitivity is doubled by connecting sensed current windings in series
  • 500 Vrms primary to secondary isolation
  • RoHS compliant. 260°C compatible. Tin-silver-copper over silver-palladium-platinum-glass frit terminations

Tape and reel specifications

T6522-AL_ 1 : 50 3.4 0.006 0.700 50 – 300 3 Arms 30 50 Ohms
1 When ordering, please specify packaging code: e.g. T6522-ALD
Packaging:

D = 13" reel, machine-ready
EIA-481 embossed plastic tape (750 parts per full reel).
B = Less than full reel
In tape, but not machine-ready. To have a leader and trailer added ($25 charge), use code letter D instead.
2 The two primary windings may be connected in parallel (1 : 50) to provide up to 3 A (Iin) sensing capability (3 Vout), or connected in series (2 : 50) to provide twice the sensitivity (1 A Iin yields 2 Vout).
3 Inductance is for the secondary, measured at 100 kHz, 0.1 Vrms.
4 Maximum volt-time product for the secondary.
5 Varying terminating resistance increases or decreases output Voltage/Ampere according to the following equation: RT (Ohms) = Vout × Nsec / Iin.
6 Ambient temperature range: –40°C to +85°C
7 Storage temperature range: Component: –40°C to +85°C
Packaging: –55°C to +80°C
8 Electrical specifications at 25°C
Refer to Soldering Coilcraft Components before soldering.
